Dear Neighbour,
I am thrilled to launch my annual award program, Community Champions, which recognizes the dedicated leaders and community volunteers in Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam who work hard to build and better our community. There are so many unsung heroes in Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam that make a difference in our lives every day.
During these uncertain times especially, there are so many people in our community who have stepped up, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19. From the frontline health care workers, to the essential grocery store clerks who work to keep shelves stocked, our community has come together.
Do you know someone who is working tirelessly for our community, whether they be a long-time dedicated volunteer or a passionate coach who puts in countless hours?
These Community Champions deserve to be recognized and now you can nominate them.

Community Champions recipients will be selected and announced on a rolling basis via my Facebook and Instagram. Make sure you follow me on social media to ensure you can keep track of all our amazing neighbours which will be featured every Friday, starting May 22nd.
Each year, I invite all nominators, nominees, and award recipients to celebrate with me at my annual summer MP BBQ at Lions Park. Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19, more details will follow as to whether this event will occur in person or virtually.
